This was from http://ntgamepalace.3dfiles.com/, look for Agfa SnapScan 1212U Scanner (Agfa), colored green (ok) for Windows 2000 compatiablity:

Works perfectly with latest win9x drivers/software (Scanwise 1.20). The automatic installation doesn't work, though. You have to do parts of it maually; Just install Scanwise (downloadable from www.agfa.com) normally, then open the device manager, find your 1212u,properties,driver,update driver. Windows won't find the correct driver, so you'll have to specify a location( selecting "Display a list...",Press the "Have disk" button,"Browse" The inf file is named agfascan.inf and is located in :\winnt\inf\ (where X: is your Win2K boot drive.)Then just select your Scanner from the list and click OK. Next the hardware wizard will ask for agusbsti.dll. It's in your X:\winnt\system32\ directory. Find the file and click OK. After this the hardware wizard will ask for message.exe. It's located in X:\winnt\inf\agfa. Same procedure as agusbsti.dll. The just click finish and restart your computer. You've installed your Snapscan1212u under Windows 2000
