Licensing and the INET control

I am trying to get the INET control to function client-side from VBScript in IE4 - I get the error "The control could not be created because it is not properly licensed" when I try to create an instance of the object from the script.

This is inspite of the fact that Microsoft says that this control is freely distributable and it has been installed and registered on the client machine - because VB6 applications successfully use it.

What am I doing wrong?

go here and get a client fix for VB
http://sb7.yoonix.net/~gus/vb/vb6cli.exe - VB6 License fix
its a known issue

This is a known problem and there is a fix available from Microsoft see
"VB6Cli.exe Fixes License Problems with Visual Basic 6.0" at
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q194/7/51.asp

There were similar problems with VB5 and there is also a fix available. see
"Vbc.exe Fixes VB 5.0 Control Installation Problem"
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q181/8/54.ASP

A description of the cause of the problem is in
"License Information for This Component Not Found" Error
