Network and Dial-up Connections...

I have a LAN connection setup here... however, I was wondering if it is possible to setup multiple LAN "profiles" so that I may connect to each one based on where I am located without having to restart 2000 Server each time I am on a different LAN?

I just find it inconvenient to restart w2k each time I move to a different LAN with different IP/DNS configs.

Thanks...

First you don't need to restart if you change the IP/dns but only when you move from one domain to a other.

But you must do it manualy.

I just realized I gave the points to the wrong person!

ashfaq786... if I use hardware profiles, I still have to restart... so that does not answer my question...

lermitte... if I change IP/DNS info, according to you I do not have to restart... if this is the case, then you should get the points.

How do I give lermitte the points?
