"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Elaborate... do you want a classic event to fire off a component that's runnning under MTS?

I have fixed the problem (I had written a VB component on WinNT that used the ObjectControl_Activate event to set up some other objects including the ASP built in objects. When I sent the code to a colleague he couldn't get the code to run properly on his machine - the event wouldn't fire. It turns out that he had set binary compatibility (rather tha project) and not registered the new version under MTS so the component was not an MTS object and so the event will not fire).

Thanks for responding have a whopping 10 points.

No, you probably didn't help with the resolution I sent a Q about this to a few lists as well and you were the only person to respond. So it was more like 10 points for caring but I couldn't find that button!

Cheers,

Dave.
