MS Photo Editor

I closed photo editor while it was minimized. Now the window won't restore to a normal size -it's either minimized or maximized. When maxed, restor minimizes it, the size option is greyed out. When min. in the task bar, size and move are options, but don't do anything.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

i had teh same probelm a while ago..
try this:

---open the MS photo editor
---when it is minimized right click it
---select move
---don't try to move it with the mouse, but with the Ctrl or the shift key.

That solved the problem on my machine.

Hi MrHand,

u can try this:
start the registry editor, search the key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Photo Editor\3.0\Microsoft Photo Editor' and there delete the value 'InitialPosition' (If you have another version then 3.0 there should be a similar key)

hope that helps,
