"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

what version of windows do you have ?

if you have win98 go to start run type in msinfo32 then go to tools then system file checker then select to extract one file from disk then type in for the name of the file MAPI32.DLL then click next next browse to your cd-rom drive put in your win98 cd-rom  and the win98 folder for the save to destination browse to c:\windows\system

and then continue with the sfc it should fix the problem

if you have win95 it is a different process alltogether
