how could i write the master boot record create a partition then format that partion

This is the C++ topic area. This si not really a C++ question. Try askig on the topic area for the OS you want to do this on--windows?

But this is an OS-specific question, not a C++ question. This does not apply to C++ on UNIX, Macintosh, VAX etc. And the information woudl apply to C++, pascal, cobal, basic etc on DOS/Windows. So this is a DOS/Windows question, not a C++ question.

Eventually someone might answer it here, but your best bet is to ask it in the right spot.

it is a DOS Windows question Im looking for samples useing the NTFS or FAT file system. Im new to the experts exchange any idea how i could withdraw this question or will i have to aquire more points to ask another

sdland1, there should have been an option to delete the question at the bottom of the page. (There won't be now) You can delete a question and have your points refunded unless it has been asnwered.
