About Modem, Dailup, where to connect

I have just installed Linux and I have no idea how to install a modem or how to use it and how to use dailup application and I am MSN user and I do not know where to connect to get online I any LINUX ISP Please let me know

if u r using GNOME then click on the foot applet on the toolbar and goto to internet under that select the dialup configuration wizard (or something that is similar-most probably the first option) and the rest is very smooth an easy.
if u r using KDE the same procedure but under internet u choose kppp.go through this once and see what all information they ask for and get it from you ISP.and the rest is easy.
HOWEVER: if u have a winmodem dont even think about using it under linux it will never work.these are modems that soley depend on the drivers and OS.
your best option would be to go for an externel modem and better still a plug and play modem.
