You can't assign memory to video unless it is integrated and has a setting for it in the Display utility that came with the machine. You may check Control Panel,Display and click the Effects tab.<br />
At the bottom of the list is a check box to Show contents while dragging if that box is checked that could be the trails you are seeing.<br />

&lt;another is to check weather ur desktop is set to be viewed as webpage or not. Make sure it is NOT viewed as webpage from start/settings/active destop... hope it might help&gt;<br />

I have a heck of a lot of memory. But still I dont think my video card is getting enough memory because i get trails on my screen when moving windows around and things seem to lag on my monitor even when Im at 16 bit. I go to a different operating system and this is not the case. How can i assign more memory to the monitor or video card? help
