Applet Info & the status bar

How do you go about dispalying the Applet info in the staus bar of the browser?  When the mouse is over the Applet, I would like info to be displayed in the status bar.

just call the metod showStatus(msg) on your applet class. If you pass(transmit) the applet in different classes, call yourAppletInstanceName.showStatus(msg)
