SCO arp question

If the arp table on my sco unix box gets hosed and it kills communication to a box (an as/400), can it (will it) kill communication in the reverse direction as well (the 400 to us) ???

The AS/400 will still have the correct ARP information for the SCO box and will still be able to properly address packets to it.  On the receiving end, the SCO box won't do anything with the sending ARP address.

So, no, this won't hose communication in the other direction.

HOWEVER, most communication protocols (and TCP in particular) need two way communication in order to work, so from a practical standpoint, you'll still be completely hosed.
