Dropping table in Btrieve

1) How do you drop the whole table in Btrieve, which is equivalent to sql's "Drop table <tablename>"?

2) How does Btrieve handles date fields? Should I declare a type with day as 1 byte, month as 1 byte and year as two bytes?

1. To drop table in Btrieve you'll need to delete Brtieve files (no internal command exists). For standard file you'll need to consider droping external index files, if they exist. If you are deleting data-only file, consider deleting his key-only files too.

Note: You can drop index created throught the CREATE(14) throught the DROP INDEX(32) in version 6.xx+

2. Date is handled throught the DATE field type.

A DATE field is stored internally as a 4-byte value. The day and the month are
each stored in 1-byte binary format. The year is a 2-byte binary number that
represents the entire year value. The MicroKernel places the day into the first byte, the month into the second byte, and the year into a two-byte word
following the month.

DATE fields can be used in index (extended type 3).
