How to check CPU temperature with Linux

There is a program to check the CPU temperature and/or CPU core voltage as the Bios and some DOS/Win utility does? Where can I find info for writing such a program?

You have to look for LM-sensors.
try it on linuxberg (tucows).

LMsensors is a package to read your PC sensors. You probably have to compile it , but if you know the package you also might find the correct support sight for it.
