printing ideas?

I'm writing a "database-ish" application, and I want the user to be able to print out a record from it, only I want the hard copy to look diferent from what the user sees on the screen.  I have never used the print command, and I would like to see a sample application that uses this same basic concept.  I would prefer to see a project rather than a compiled aplication, but it's not necessary.  Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

that would have been exactly what I was looking for, if it had been visual basic code...
but, I did find several other usefull things, so I think it's worth it...  enjoy the points.
