My video card and Delphi

My question is more hardware than software.
I'm using delphi 4. My problem is i can't run delphi 4 on my computer if the monitor display's color is set to high color (16 bit) it always freeze when I run delphi. If I set it to 16 color only delphi runs with no problem.
Now I purchased Delphi 5 but I'm not able to install it because i'm sure I'm going to face the same problem.
My video card is S3 Virge FX/GX 375/385
4 MB purchased in 1998. I'm using Win95
I have P 233 MHZ with 64 MB Ram.

Please advise me what to do.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
