drivers from Win 98

I have an old modem that I want the drivers for.  "Add Hardware" in Control Panel has this very modem listed. Can I download the drivers from my Win 98 and use them on another PC with that old modem?  Thanks,
JK

Post the make and model of your modem.  We'll try to find the drivers for you because you can't just use your win98 drivers.

If the other one also has win98, (s)he'll be able to install the modem himself.  What operating system is (s)he using?

http://windrivers.com is an excellent place to find device drivers you can use the drivers from the 98 cd although this is a complicated process you must copy the modem.inf from the windows inf directory to a floppy or something and copy it some place on the older machine when it finds your modem point it to the inf you copied when it asks for files find those files on the win98 machine and get them to the old machine somehow personally i would go with Davys comment

Just set it as "Standard 28800 Modem" It is a Rockwell based "run of the mill" modem. No exciting features that requires special .inf files.
