Closing auto-setup Lotus program

I would like to load Office 2000. When I run the disc, it tells me Lotus is still running and I need to close it first. Lotus comes up automatically when I swich on the PC and I don't know how to close it.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

1)Go to Start,Run and type in msconfig
2)Click the startup tab
3)Uncheck the box in front of the Lotus program you don't want to start at start up
4)Close that and restart, now it won't start at start up
5)If you decide to have it start again go back and check the box
