"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You will find these temp files in the following directory:

C:\Windows\Temp\Sym60c5.tmp

When I setup my machine, Norton setup the above folder a noted in Symantec's Q&A on their site. However, on you machine it may be just dumping this to your Windows temp file, which is fine. You really shouldn't have to watch this and delete anything and each time Norton runs it should be dumping these files on its own. If it isn't for some reason, you can run the Windows 98 Disk Cleanup from the \Accessories\System Tools area of windows and it will clean it out for you.

The only other files that it saves are references to possible viri and trojans that it finds, and this data is found at C:\Program Files\Norton. Just don't delete any DAT files.
