Solaris + SNMP

I need to set up SNMP (sub)agent on Solaris 7 which will tell community of a cumulative traffic on a certain network interface.
I need a working example or directions to such an example how to do that (or similar task - making custom data appear on SNMP interface).

Developing an SNMP agent is pretty well documented - the SNMP FAQ discusses the steps in developing an SNMP agent, available APIs and frameworks, etc. You can view this at:

In particular, pay attention to 2.10 to 2.20 which points to all sorts of source samples depending on the type of problem you're trying to solve.
