dual boot problem

I installed mandrake 6.1 and I want to run windows 98 also but on bootup all I get is 10101010 unless I use the boot disk and then all I can boot to is linux or rescue.
What did I do wrong and how can I fix it?

I've seen this before, are you using LILO to boot? Where is LILO installed? The MBR? Are you using SCSI drives? It could be one of a few things... let me know what your setup is and I can help ya better.

I think you must install lilo again!
Check lilo config in /etc/lilo.conf after save then run "lilo".

Hope this help

Yeah first thing I'd try is rerunning lilo, mighta written badly, or use linuxconf and install LILO in the boot sector instead of the MBR.
