"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This type of access is set on the database level.

You must set access in the "access properties" section of the database.  Highlight the database, choose File - Database - Access Control.  Add users/groups and change access.

To give users editor vs. reader access on forms, use readers/authors fields or in form properties on the "key" security tab you can set read/write access.

This only solved part of the issue. Eventually I placed the field in a Controlled-access Section and used the @usename formula.
