"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you want to publish a protected property you can create a subclass and publisch the property in the subclass.

TMaster = Class ( TObject )
Private
 ...
Protected
 property xxx : String read getxxx write set xxx;
 ...
Public
 ...
End;

If this is the definition of the class and you want to access the xxx property from a program

make a new class MyMaster

TMyMaster = Class ( TObject )
Private
 ...
Protected
 ...
Public
 property xxx;
 ...
End;
