Citrix Box

What is a Citrix box, i realize it's a server, but does it have as special operating system like Unix for examples. Is its hardware all that different from most servers, etc....

It's a server running Citrix software.  It can be any of a number of operating systems.  No special hardware required.

If I'm not mistaken, Citrix runs on NT Terminal Server 4.0. They also have a version that runs on MACOS, but the UNIX version is still fairly new...beta I think. It is used for thin client networking where all the programs are run on the server, and the clients are basically dummy terminals.
It also runs on many other OS's.  I am running it on WIN2K and it is fantastic.  I love it...
