vb unexpected errors at run time

after spending months writing a program now i find that on other machines it wont run without the vb setup wizrds installation.  can this be solved ive put all the controls intot he same dir as the exe file but it still says "enexpected error" why is this happening.  am i mssing a control or .ocx file?  this is all on NT

Use the setup wizard or another installation program that will register the appropriate controls, DLLs, etc...

You definitley need to register the controls through a setup utility. The one that comes with VB should be sufficient. For a more professional look try Wise Install Maker or Install Shield Express. Usually a control or .ocx file has to be registered through windows so your program can use it. Also, if your looking for a way to do this thru VB there is some good code at www.planet-source-code.com
