Mpg Files and Pixelon files playing 1/2 speed

I have a 400 mhz computer with 128 mb ram. Whenever I play MPG movie files, or go to pixelon.com and play the video files, they play at half speed. I also noticed that when playing Quake 3, the sound files that tell you how many minutes left in the game, or frags plays at half speed. mpe files and wav files play fine. How would i fix this?

Are these files playing through Windows Media Player or some other software program?

Make sure you have the current version of that program, as well as the current drivers for your sound card.

What manufacturer's PC and what model sound card are you using?

Whew!  I'm glad I could help.  You may want to bookmark and then periodically check the driver websites for your sound and graphics cards.  It never hurts to be current.
