I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Throw away the "Keychains" folder thats in your Preferences folder, thats where the control panel stores your keychains.

I THROW AWAY THE KEYCHAIN PREFERNCES FOLDER
AND IT COMES BACK.
IVE ERASED THE CONTROL PANEL AND IT IS NO MORE.
THE KEYCHAINS STILL EXIST.

Go to the extensions manager and turn off the security extensions. That's the ticket.

Ok so are you still trying to get rid of it? Its just a matter of doing a search on your HD for "keychain" and throwing away anything that comes up in the search window. If youre still seeing prompts for passwords then its not keychain thats asking for them but some other program/system.
