"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

5 points?  Within E-E, it's expected that an "easy" question will be ranked at 50 points!

It is obvious that Motorola wants to keep this info out of the hands of the world, you will have to drill down for your particular modem.

You can use a standard modem driver in 98 and it wil work fine.  For 10 points, I'll tell you how!

Nick1_bg prefers "low-value" questions:
---
Date                               Pts                                       Title
1/31/00                               5                                       Close Application
1/25/00                               10                                      Connections
1/25/00                               10                                       Restriction.
1/21/00                               10                                       Exam Information
2/05/00                               5                                       Modem Driver
2/02/00                               5                                       Alt+Ctrl+Del

so '10' points may be "too rich for his/her blood".

Hi, Nick!

Finding drivers for Windows NT is frustrating. I know, since I have been there! ;-)

The following Web site purports to have the NT driver for your modem:

   http://support.rm.com/pc_drivers/driverfiles/winnt4.htm

Given the size of the ZIPped archive, it must be a collection of drivers for the VoiceSurfR modem (e.g, for different speeds and protocols, and for internal and external modems).

If you do not have a driver for your modem, I assume you have another modem you can use, so you might want to give this archive (MOTOROLA.ZIP) a try!

If you cannot download the archive, please let me know and I will do so and see "what's inside"; with luck, your driver will be there, if you have not already found it.

Good luck, Nick!

Cordially,

David Dickerson
