I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Did you close the handle to the (first) saved file, after saving it ?
When running as a service, the default is to run under the NT system account which has no access to network drives etc, and it may not have access to areas of local drives, depending on your security setup for the rqd directory.  Either go into Control Panel/services and set your service to run inder your UserID/password (or one which has the access rqd) or if it is a file on the local disk, check that system has write/delete access to it.
