http trouble

Everytime I click on an http link that links me to an .exe file ( like logging in to my web server), I get a download window instead of being directed to the next page. This doesn't happen on my other pc. What is wrong? (aol, win98)

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That is- the variuos subpages on my server have an ".exe" extension. Note again, there is no problem linking to these pages on my other pc (also aol/win98)
