Check Beyond Compare at www.scootersoftware.com

It allows to compare any files (not only .pas or another text files) and it can automatically decode/encode .dfm files (you open them just like if they were plain text files). You have full control over syncronization on "per line" level. And... it's written in Delphi :).

It can also compare/syncronize directories.

Great tool.

The best tool I found is Visual Diff from StarBase corporation. Another one comes with VC++ called WinDiff. Of course both can also work with other files than pas. Visual Diff is free.

I use Star Team 3.0 as version control system and happy with it :)
It has VisDiff.exe to do compare any text file. It's cool!

In additional I have very simple and comfortable tool Examdiff.exe(implemented with Delphi)

My problem is less comparing than more the merging of these files...

This is also possible with Visual Diff. You can just visually merge two files or physically store the result into a new file.

A fancy tool might help you... ...comparing documents in Microsoft Word might also help!
