Lost maildatabase

I have a Domino 5.01b server (Windows NT) and one user cant access her maildatabase. The file exist and I can see it with explorer but Domino does not see that file.

I want to force Domino to connect to the file or recreate a new mailfile.

I also have problem with mailfiles that got deleted, one a month. In that cases I have given the user a new account (deleted the old) but it have to be better if I can create a new maildatabase.

Any ideas?

Try to open the database by giving the name of the file in open database dialog, if that doesn't work check the Database property Show in Open dialog.If that doesn't work, Try to Run fixup and compact task on that database from the server. Hope that might help u to restore the directory structure.
