Sending a meeting request

When I send a meeting request to a few people at my office, everyone is sent a copy of the meeting request even though I have never selected their names. Everyone in the distribution list is sent a message, rather than the individuals I select. How can I select a few peoples names and have it sent to only them?
Who is Participating?
It sounds like your mailbox in exchange is set to a Master distribution list of all need to have whoever runs exchange, go into exchange admin, and your mailbox and check your distribution list tab, and delivery restriction tab....sounds like someone made a distribution list for ALL, and when that happens EVERYBODY gets it...let me know if that's it or what you find...
