I have a problem with Linux

Hello, in the last weeks I installed Linux 6.4 in my computer, all was fine except with the configuration of my video card. My computer is a Pentium II 400Mhz, 17" monitor (Proton). If someone can help me, thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

We'll need to know what video card you have

My video card is:
SiS 6326 AGP True Color Graphics and Video Accelerator
8mb Bytes Video Memory, Bios Version 1.23f
Support VESA BIOS Extension Ver. 2.0

The SiS 6326 is going to be a bit touchier to configure than some of the more generic video cards, but it is a supported chip set and ought to work. There is some good information in the Xfree server documentation specifically on the 6326 (http://www.xfree.org/3.3.6/SiS.html) that should probably be considered mandatory reading.
