Tooltip problem for MFC SDI application?

I havae a SDI application,in which I modified  the default toolbar icons& buttons.
 But now, the tooltip doesnt shows up as before,even when I have specified some text in prompt field of dialog resource editor.
    How can I overcome this problem?

Hi,

Check if U have done like this
ID is ID_FILE_NEW
then in the prompt field
Create a new document\nNewDoc

here

'Create a new document' will come on the status bar when u move the mouse over the button with ID ID_FILE_NEW.

And 'NewDoc' will be the tool tip.

Check whether U have given tooltip with \n like I mentioned.
