I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Explain the importance of doing your homework yourself with examples.
Answer quickly and send the result to your professor.

The "1 hr" part seemed strange.  Was this sent in the middle of an exam?
If so, the admin that allowed net access from the machine should be fired.
(unless it was a cellular modem from a laptop...  Nahhh)

Good reply, alexo.

You even made your comment 27 minutes before the question was asked.  Now that's service, for sure.

>explain the nestedif and switch >command with examples.

When two "if"s get together, well, you know, nature takes its course and you little "elses".  Of course they can't just have them just anywhere so they make a "nest".  Hence, "nested ifs".

Switch is more difficult because they are always getting bad "breaks", but thankfully, that is not always the "case".

>write a program which will accept a
>date and print whether it is valid or
>not it .should also say whether it is
>a leap year and should also print
>previos and next date

Here, it's written in my favorite language.  PSEUDO.

BEGIN PROGRAM
  ACCEPT Date;

  IF Date IS VALID SAY OK;
  IF Date IS INVALID SAY Not OK;
  IF Data IS LEAPYEAR SAY LeapYear;
  SAY Date - 1;
  SAY Date + 1;

END PROGRAM

>what is a string.explain how strings
>are manipulated in c

A string is a bundle of fibers twisted together to make a long continuous thread. Often made of cotton but other materials can be used.  Quite useful for flying kites.  If you drop a string into the C, sometimes it will just float but other times the fish will manipulate it.  If it looks like something good to eat, a fish might even swallow it.

>write a prog which will accept 2
>strings and will attach both toghether
>example computer internet
>computerinternet

Again, in PSEUDO:

BEGIN PROGRAM
  ACCEPT String1;
  ACCEPT String2;

  SAY String1 + String2;
END PROGRAM

>anwser quickly

Uh, I don't know how to anwser, but I did ANSWER as quickly as I could.

>within 1 hr of when q was asked

This is a bit late, but I would recommend looking at the Schaum series of text books on C. Or look at any C book for that matter. Please RTFM before you ask questions out of the text book. And of course alexo gets your points.
