boot up comp and as its first starting hold down the ctrl key and when the menu comes up select command prompt ,<br />
At &nbsp;C:\ &nbsp;type &nbsp;&quot;scanreg/fix &quot;&nbsp; without quotations &nbsp; and lets see if that will help &nbsp;if not let us know

my wife had downloaded some icon files last night and disk utilities are programmed to run on Saturday mornings, alsi I deleted some temp and other files under this site's cleanup program in addition &nbsp;real Audio and real juke box was updated

tried the reg/fix to no avail it said it fixed the registry but I still get that error mssg <br />

when I start win98 i get this error mssg:<br />
&quot;Windows protection error you need to restart your computer&quot;<br />
When I do it will only boot up into &quot;safe&quot; mode <br />
