This is the way you can safely remove any TSR from memory.

#define SUCCESS 0xC0FF
#define FAILURE 0xC000
#define CHECK_INSTALLED 0xC001
#define UNSTALL 0xC002

union REGS i,o;

i.x.ax=CHECK_INSTALLED;
int86(0x2F,&i,&o);
/* If it has been installed */
if(o.x.ax==SUCCESS)
{
   i.x.ax=UNINSTALL;
   int86(0x2F,&i,&o);

   if(o.x.ax==FAILURE)
    {
          /*   Can not uninstall
           Another program on top  */
    }
   else
    {
          /*   Program removed */
    }
}
else
{
      /* TSR not in memory. */
}
