Substituting \@ for @ in PERL

I have a simple form email program that is using blat
The input email address is in the form
me@mycompany.net
I need to change this to
me\@mycompany.net
for blat to work the code is
$Email = $input->param('Email');
$ccaddress = "$Xemail";
