The 'your site is sloooow' is a comment that is often heard, but little can really be done - a site can be slow for a number of reasons - the users has a slow path to your particular machine - ofet the case when people are trying to access sites away from their country - the site itself coulbe be busy - not jsut your website, but general traffic from your network etc.

you basically have 2  options open to you here. The first is to move the site to a faster server - which looks like its not going to be possible with your site - and in this day and age - most decent i.s.p's are of a similar standard, it all depends on the current traffic and routing. The second is to reduce the size of your site - so the info will download faster - now in your case there are no major images, but take a look at http://www.gifwizard.com/ and this will give you a number of options - also 3rd party page hit counters can slow a site down as there having to make a connection from your site to theirs, which under heavy traffic can cause a delay.

hope this helps
