please check your modem's properties and see if the 'idle time till disconnect option is on 'never' to do this please click properties on the msn dialing screen. now go to the connections tab, then click the 'idle time till disconnect' option. select "never disconnect".  now if that does not work.....go to your modem's propreties and switch all the idle times off it should never disconect. now if it does please reinstall all your modem drivers. as for the locking up. please reinstall msn. it will repair IE5 (please tell me the version of msn you have!) and it will reeinstall windows intergrations with the internet. Please tell me the OS you have! win 98 or 95? I look forward to your reply!
