Just bought a Hp 4535 from best buy,some one had returned it and there name is registered on pc...I changed in win98 registry..where or how can I change the system and application registry....thanks

open regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION
under registered owner modify

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\NETWORK\LOGON
If one exist change the name there

Search your HD for all pwl files and delete them

If you have other apps with previous owners name look the first HKEY Software for the apps name and look for the reg owner
