strace utility source code

Where can I find the strace utility of Linux source code. Or somebody can help me how to find samples for using ptrace system call. I wanted to trace a process A by a program which wants to know whether process A is waiting for a read call or not. I think ptrace is one way of doing it.

I can find good samples of learning Unix System calls and more sites for Unix free source code.
