I am developing a VB application that will be deployed on a computer running win98 but it uses the Cyrix Media GX processor, are there any issues with VB and this processor that I should be aware of.

I am current using VB 6.0 sp3 on WinNT 4.0 sp6

Thanks for your insights

As a computer builder i would often have first hand experience setting up  computer systems , including a couple of hundred cyrix systems-this was in the days where a pentium 200 mmx was 700 dollars compared to a cyrix cpu only being 150 dollars.... the only quirk I have noticed was issuing the command "exit" from a dos box in windows , it would make the whole system reboot, whether it was the cpu or the hardware at the time , I dont know,I still build systems , but mostly amd , but I still have to work on several older cyrix systems.... I personally think that other than that I have not seen anything yet that the cyrix systems do or use cause you any heartburn. Now down to brass tacks, is there some special pentium optiminzation code that is specific to  Intel and Intel only, I read at one time that special instructions for the "MMX" extensions-i.e. machine language op codes  that accellerated the processing of multimedia was ok but was transparent or ignored by other cpu.....well hopefully that answers any questions....cya and good luck....
