Hi All,

In an R5 web-based application,

We've a ItemNumber field in which we've to assign next available Item Number after doing a lookup in a view.

Could anyone explain how to set the values to uidoc fields when a document is being loaded on web client?

Many Thanks,
Satya.

Use a dbcolumn to get the latest number.
But this could give you more than one item with the same number.
I suggest that you have an recive agent in the database that assign the number after the document is saved.
