Deleting rown in an embedded view

Hi

I have an embedded view with many rows. I want to give some user right to delete selected row with an action that i hide with users who not have right to delete.

I have tried with the action placed in the form but that marks the row for deletion but dont delete. F9 seems not available at this time.

I have tried to place an action in the view but that is hide.

The command I have used is:

@Command([EditClear]), that makes the selected documet marks for deletion.

@Command([EditCut]) that not were availble in the form.

If you want to remove the document from the view then select the forms you want to delete in the view in the action button place the following code:

@Command([EditClear]);
@Command([ViewRefreshFields])

This will now prompt the user with "Are you sure you want to delete n documents. When yes is select ed the documents are deleted.

If you want to remove the document using an action in the form then do the following:

     Dim Workspace As New NotesUIWorkspace
     Dim db As NotesDatabase
     Dim session As New NotesSession
     Dim uidoc As NotesUIDocument
     Dim doc As NotesDocument

     Set db = session.CurrentDatabase
     Set uidoc = Workspace.CurrentDocument
     Set doc = uidoc.Document
     uidocid = doc.UniversalID
     Call uidoc.save
     Call uidoc.Close

     Set doc = db.GetDocumentbyUNID(uidocid)
     Call doc.remove(True)

This should then remove the document

Hope this helps

Hi

What is the version that ur using, is it R5 ?
&
Are you opening this form on the web ?

If Yes, then use DeleteDoc command to delete the doc, and MoveToTrash command to completely remove the doc from the view.

Good Luck
