MAPISP32.DLL Error - Illegal Operation

I have a Toshiba 440 running windows 95. when she starts Outlook 97, I recieve a message:
'MAPISP32.DLL
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
In the details:
MAPISP32.DLL caused an invalid page fault in module MINET32.DLL"

Please do not give me an uninstall and reinstall routine. I have done that way too many times.

What's the size & date of your MAPI32.DLL file?
708 Kb dated Friday, October 15, 1999
Rename that one to MAPI32.BAD (also check to make sure you've only got one copy of MAPI32.DLL on your system). Copy the MAPI32.DLL file from your Office/Outlook 97 CD into your Windows\System directory.
I have already done that. I have tried all the standard fixes...it just wont work. The ONLY way that it works TEMPORARILY is when I re-install office. So it has to be some file that gets replaced...and probably this mapi32.dll...but when i replace just that file, it doesnt work. Thanks for your help anyway.

This issue remains unresolved because I moved to outlook express. Vince did try his best but I dont have the time an patience to keep going on like this. I would like to thank Vince for all his help. He is a very dedicated individual.
Thanks for the compliment...

300MB isn't too much for Outlook to handle (I've heard of users that have more than 1GB of mail in PST files).

Oh well... I hope things work out for you & your user in OE.
