Hi,

I have problem to view Flash movie (*.swf), when I publish it onto my web server.  I also publish it to  http://www.xoom.com, and it works! Furthermore I'm using the same workstation to browse these web page.  May I know any plug-in need to be installed onto my web server?  Pls assist.

I don't think there is any serverside work required when distributing Flash movies. But Flash movies themselves are ActiveX containers, and you need to make sure your server is set up to server ActiveX content.

swf file needed the plugin that usually can be obtained from Flash website in http://www.macromedia.com
Put / install the plug in your website

The plug in depends on the version of the flash you are using to create the swf file.

after you got it, then you can use the macromedia aftershock to create a template HTML containing the object / embed tag that you must put in your HTML pages

or you can write the object and embed tag manually , but you have to know the class id or the name of the plug in
( usually if you are deploying in the internet, aftershock will point the plug in to macromedia website, but you can change it, by pointing it to your website, but you must put the plug in first in your website)

Hope it helps

cheers
