I need drivers for Yamaha 740 DS-XG
for Linux & Windows 2000pro...

There is a website that will sell you a driver for Linux.  They charge $20 for the driver and an extra $10 because of the specific model.  Their website is http://www.opensound.com Go to the soun card section.

Be aware...it doesn't support the hardware MIDI playback (wave table) features of PCI XG

I also need the driver but, am working on a free work around.  I'll post back when I resolve it.
