HELP!!!! How to detect whether a field already exist in a database?

Hi,

i want to insert some new fields to a database, but if the field already exist, then i will warn the user abt it. so how to check whether a field already exist or not?

Pls help! and thanks a lot!

Which classes you use?
DAO?
ODBC?

Hi,

teh database is .mdb (Access file), and i use DAO.
