how to call a file from standardexe using http format

I want to call the .rpt file which is located in the server from the client(standard exe file), how to call this file, How can i use the http://servername.rpt file method  to call the file or is there any other way to call the file from server to client.

Use the Microsoft Internet Transfer Control (INET) to get the file... The help pages on this control are very good.

To add the control to your project, right-click on the toolbox and select "Components..." then select "Microsoft Internet Transfer Control" from the list.

Make sure you have service pack 3 installed... It fixes bugs with the control.  You can get SP3 here:
